Scouts provide service at the Traveling Wall event, Sept 1st thru 5th
Posted 09/27/2016

Thank you

To all members of the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and their parents/leaders, from throughout the entire Rolling Hills District, and those who may have come from other Districts.

On behalf of the “Traveling Wall” committee (Faribault), regarding the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, I (Al Shuda) and the other members of the committee would like to send out a very sincere “Thank You” for volunteering your time and effort in assisting with “parking detail”, and other duties such as picking up trash and watering the necessary plants/flowers, and attending the opening ceremony, at the Traveling Wall event in Faribault during the weekend (Sept 1st - 5th ).

Many, in attendance and members of the committee, commented about how well behaved the Scouts were and the great job they did. Several expressed how thankful they were for the support from the Scouts in attendance!

The driver, who drives nationwide with the Traveling Wall, said that the event in Faribault was the ‘best run’ (coordinated) and best attended “Traveling Wall event” he’s been at yet.

He has been doing it for nine years all over the nation! That says something pretty spectacular !!

Again, thank you for supporting our veterans – those who gave the ultimate sacrifice over the years in battle - as well as those veterans who served and were fortunate to be able to return to their families.
On behalf of the Faribault Traveling Wall committee --

Al Shuda (Pack 306 & Troop 306)

Jeff Mason (Pack 310 & Troop 306)

Jessica Keeley (Pack 310)
