Welcome to the Rolling Hills District web page.  Rolling Hills is the first Quality District of the Northern Star Council.  Rolling hills serves communities in Scott, Rice, and Le Sueur Counties in Minnesota.

For refunds send an email to npturner8@gmail.com to request a refund. If you don't request a refund by this next Wednesday May 8th we will assume you are attending the make up weekend and purchase food.  There is no need to re-register, but it would be helpful to get an email which lets us know that you are planning on attending the rescheduled weekend.   

If you registered and paid for multiple people,  please let us know who you are requesting a refund for and who is still attending.  All refunds will go to the person who paid for the group

We will be holding the ordeal conclave but will not be able to host the Brotherhood ceremony at the make-up weekend.  We are sorry about this, for more information on possible options please email Kay Stewart at shadow14805@frontiernet.net

We will be purchasing the food on Wednesday evening, so if others would like to join us to help get the camp ready, they can go to the following link to register by Wednesday May 8th

Cub Scout Training Day Cancelled for Saturday

 Hey there district members--

We have decided to cancel the Saturday Cub Scout Leader training day due to lack of interest.  As of this afternoon, there were no people registered from any district.  

We will still be doing Cub Scout Leader training at the April roundtable, so if you need training or have changed positions in the pack, you can still get your training there!

What are Camp Cards?

 

Camp Cards are wallet sized discount cards that Scouts sell for $5 each.  They feature discounts at businesses and services folks use every day.  Discounts include Papa Murphy’s Pizza, Holiday Gas Stations, Valvoline oil Changes, valued at over $50!  The sale runs inMarch and April, just in time for Camp!  To participate this year, sign up by February 22nd at www.northernstarbsa.org/campcards.

 

                Benefits:

o   Higher commission (50%!)

o   No distribution logistics to worry about

o   Easy to transport, easy to carry cards

o   Long (two full months) sales window

o   No Risk!

 

Units get 50% commission on the sale ($2.50 per card) to support your Scouting program.  We call them Camp Cards because “Den Meeting Supplies, Pinewood Derby Track, Troop Trailer, Merit Badge Books, New Uniforms, Camping Gear & High Adventure Cards” is too hard to say.

 

We want YOUR UNIT to sell Camp Cards this year.  It’s risk free!  You can return any unsold cards.

MN Wild Event

 The MN Wild are offering the following Minnesota Wild Scout Day games for Scouts for $26 tickets this year:

Sunday, March 3 vs. Edmonton at 7PM

Tuesday, March 12 vs. Anaheim at 7PM

Monday, April 1 vs. St. Louis at 7PM

Saturday, April 13 vs. Columbus at 7PM

 

The ticket package includes a Wild patch for all ticket buyers.  There will be a post-game slap shot for all scouts and siblings after every game except the April 13 game.  A portion of the proceeds also goes back to the Northern Star Council.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross!

Monster Energy AMA Supercross is the world’s premier indoor motocross circuit, comprised of 17 races of heart-stopping action. The event is coming to the HHH Metrodome on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 7pm. Special Scout Packages are now available via the attached order form or at www.xcelenergycenter.com/boyscouts. The package includes a ticket, Pit Pass and a patch for the scouts. Plus, a portion of the scout packages sold will benefit the Northern Star Council.  There were many things that happened at Roundtable last night.

  • Our new District Executive, Adam Hough was introduced to the group
  • In the Cub Scout breakout, Betsy didn't quite have enough time to demonstrate her two craft projects.  You can still find the instructions in the Resource/Roundtable Resources section of the website
  • The new fundraiser, Camp Cards, were introduced
  • A complete Rolling Hills training schedule for the year was unveiled

 You don't want to miss this Thursday's Roundtable.  Here's the agenda:
